Vertice Case Study

Vertice LLC is a boutique PR company with locations in Mexico City and Guadalajara. They have built their reputation with a progressive, creative and “green” approach to PR, aided by their loyal and engaged staff.

Operating out of a downtown office building, Vertice had an unused and barren rooftop space that provided little function other than as a connecting corridor between separate wings of their office. Sensing an opportunity to beautify the roof, revitalize the space, and reflect their progressive and green values, TGC and EcoHuerto helped to design and install a “soft-impact” growing space that would feature intensive production of vegetables, herbs, and ornamentals throughout the year. The space would primarily be filled with Caja planters that were easy to transport, easy to install and easy to maintain.

In this new space, account reps can meet with their clients, team meetings and social events could be organized, and individuals could enjoy a green working environment surrounding by plants and fully connected with WiFi internet.

Vertice staff were trained on garden care and maintenance, including watering, pruning, and of course, harvesting. Not only were individuals able to enjoy fresh and delicious produce, many staff were able to have their own growing containers. Today, the rooftop garden serves as a cohesive living and productive space for staff and visitors to enjoy, where ideas, seeds, knowledge, and plants can flourish and thrive.
